The program

The program is a unique event and lasts around 45 minutes. Here is the breakdown:

0-5 min – Check-in and Welcome

  • Kids receive a mini chef hat and apron (for use during the session).

  • Quick introduction to the baking and plush-making activity.

5-20 min – Dough Time!

  • Hands-on experience shaping the dough.

  • Choose from sweet or savory fillings.

  • Light guidance from our team to help them craft their kolaches.

  • Once ready, kolaches go into the oven to bake.

20-35 min – Plush Creation and Baking

  • While kolaches bake, kids select their plush "seed" (base plush shape).

  • Choose fun stuffing and scents to customize their plush friend.

  • Plushies go into the magical oven for magical baking.

35-45 min – Enjoy and Wrap-Up

  • Kolaches are fresh out of the oven!

  • Kids receive their plush friend in a special take-home package.

  • Decorate their bakery box to take home their kolaches.

  • Quick group photo (if permitted by parents).

🙋🏽‍♂️ Who Can Participate?

  • Kali’s Lil’ Bakers is designed for kids ages 3-12. No prior baking experience is needed!

  • Yes! Parents can watch from our designated area or relax in the café while their child participates.

  • Absolutely! We offer private group sessions for birthdays and special events. Contact us for pricing and availability.

⏰ Class Details & Booking

  • Each class lasts 45 minutes, covering both baking and plush creation.

  • Yes, advance booking is required. We do not offer walk-ins, so please make a reservation ahead of time to secure your spot.

  • You can book online (link coming soon) or sign up in person at Kalaches Café.

  • Please contact us at least 24 hours in advance if you need to reschedule or cancel.

    • ❌ Not a formal baking class – This is a fun, hands-on experience for kids, not an in-depth culinary lesson.

    • ❌ Not a drop-off service – Parents or guardians must remain on-site during the session.

    • ❌ Not a walk-in event – Advance booking is required; we do not accept walk-ins.

💲 Pricing & What’s Included

  • Pricing details will be provided on our booking page. Each session includes:
    ✔️ Baking experience – Kids shape and fill their own kolaches (sweet or savory).
    ✔️ Plush creation – Each child designs and takes home a plushy.

  • Each child will eat their freshly baked kolache at the end of the session. Additional drinks and treats are available for purchase at the café.
